Duties

  • Establishing Design Needs

Coordinating with Account Management team to determine the design needs for the advertising material of each brand and product range.

  • Creative Thinking

Researching ideas for graphic design and present sample ideas or rough sketches of design for approval by Marketing Communications manager.

  • Artwork Development

Creating logos, illustrations, graphs, charts, animations and other artwork using specific software (such as Adobe, 3D Max & other design software) and ensure layout is designed according to size and branding guidelines.

  • Technical support

Preparing technical file when needed to be shared with production suppliers (final printing files, open source files, etc), to ensure to support the production process and control the content format shared on the production files

  • Concept presentation

Presenting finalised ideas and deign concept options to account managers or internal clients, by preparing concept breakdown presentation for the requested job in a standardized format and be part of project meetings –when needed-, to explain the creative direction and get a better understanding of the feedback

  • Quality control

Proofreading and amending any design, by reviewing the artworks before sharing them with the accounts team, to produce accurate and high-quality work

  • Team work

working as part of a team with copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists, to ensure the alignment of the final product with the brief direction

  • Time management

Estimating the time required to complete a job according to the brief requirement, through their graphic design experience, to set realistic project milestones for the team and internal client

  • Team supervision

Overseeing graphic designers, responsible for assigning tasks in large projects and coaching on creative process, and ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of projects

  • Budgeting

Working closely with the Creative Director (or project lead) to create accurate price estimates and breakdowns while delivering solutions within budget

  • Trends follow-up

Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and informed on latest trends and forecasts

  • Others:

Take accountability and ownership of any other tasks or projects assigned to them.

  • Internal: Operations & production team, Account Management team, Finance Department, Strategy Department and other internal functions
  • External: Advertising Agencies and other suppliers.

Requirements

  • BSc degree in Design, Visual Arts or relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years in an in-house creative department or design firm.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of principles and aesthetics of design.    
  • Must have strong creative, organizational, problem solving and time-management skills
  • Must be able to create and produce graphic designs
  • Must have knowledge of computer software applications (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, 3D Max)
  • Fluency in Arabic and English
  • Must have high level of computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel .. etc)
